COMING OF AGE
This is a ritual that is not practiced much in this country. But if you know any children of about the age of 13-18 you know that they very much think of themselves as people in their own rights and not just children any more. Sometimes it can be very liberating for the young adult to have a ritual to acknowledge this fact. Sometimes young girls have a ritual to celebrate the “coming into woman hood” when she starts menstruation and for the males it’s when their voice deepens or they express some desire to be a “man” rather than a boy.
