WICCANINGS

This is a ritual which is for the purpose of formally naming a child, and presenting him or her to the energies of the universe and the god and goddess. It can be as elaborate or as simple as you require. The ritual is personalised to your child, and it does not matter about the age of the child nor does it mean that they are “always” to be pagan. Religion as you know should be a chosen thing by the person themselves. This does though give you the opportunity to have your child blessed and protected while they grow in the light and live that the lord and lady show us. I have performed a few wiccaning's now, one of them being for my own son. There is a picture on the Wiccan wanderings page of me at a recent wiccaning.
